CHARACTER BUILDING PROGRAMME
Character Building Programme
Dizigui 弟子规
Little Sun School has character education as a core part of learning. Through the teachings of Di Zi Gui, students are guided to develop respect, responsibility, and positive values that shape their behavior both inside and outside the classroom. One of the key values taught is respect, as reflected in the teaching is《泛爱众,而亲仁,有余力,则学文》This principle encourages students to treat elders and peers with the same respect, care, and sincerity. To further support character development, our school conducts a Di Zi Gui Parent Feedback Program, where questionnaires are shared with parents to gather insights on students’ behavior and attitudes at home. Through these questionnaires, parents are invited to provide feedback on how well students apply the values of Di Zi Gui, such as respect, responsibility, discipline, and care for others in daily life. This collaboration between school and parents helps us better understand each student’s growth and ensures that character education is consistently practiced both at school and at home.
Chinese Culture Programme
Wintercamp 冬令营
Every year, Little Sun School (LSS) organizes an international Winter Camp program to provide students with meaningful global learning experiences. From December 12–23 2025, LSS students participated in Winter Camp in China, visiting Nanning (南宁) and Liuzhou (柳州市). During the program, students joined various learning activities such as Chinese Culture classes, Kouyu (spoken Chinese), Wushu, and Cultural Exchange sessions with local students, providing them with valuable opportunities to practice the language and experience real-life communication. In addition to academic activities, students also explored cultural and historical sites, including museums, cultural villages, and popular tourist destinations such as shopping streets. Through these visits, students were introduced to the rich traditions and lifestyles of China’s ethnic minority cultures (少数民族). This Winter Camp not only enhanced students’ language skills, but also broadened their global perspective, cultural awareness, and confidence in interacting with people from different backgrounds, making it a truly meaningful and unforgettable experience.
Religion Building
CampRoh (Religious Camp)
At Little Sun School Lower Secondary, we organize an engaging annual program called Religious Camp, designed to support students’ spiritual growth and promote mutual respect among different faiths.
Students of Christianity and Catholicism participated in activities at Griya Aloysii, where they praised God together through worship, prayer sessions, group games, and reflective sharing. Meanwhile, students of Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, and Hinduism joined activities at Mahavihara Mojopahit, engaging in collective prayers, temple visits, and spiritual learning. OurMuslim students also prayed together and took part in Malam Jumat Legi, a special community gathering involving shared meals and prayers with local residents. Through this program, students learn not only about their own faith, but also about respect, harmony, and unity in diversity.
